Lagos, Nigeria – In a surprising move, Microsoft will be closing parts of its operations in Nigeria, with the last day of business set for the end of June. This decision will result in the dissolution of all Nigerian staff, leaving over 200 employees, including software engineers and other tech professionals, in search of new employment.

The employees have been informed that their final salaries will be issued this month, marking the end of their tenure with the tech giant. Microsoft’s Engineering and Research arm, the African Development Center, has also relocated its operations to Kenya, further consolidating the company’s presence in the East African nation. from dailynaija.news
